I had a balayage done a few weeks ago and I wasn't fully satisfied with the colour because it was a little bit brassy. With advice from the hairdresser and looking on here, I used L'Oreal dialight 10.12 with a small bit of 9.01 and 9 vol developer. While the colour is nice and not brassy at all, it is quite dark and kind of blends in with my natural colour which is a light brown. I was wondering if anyone has any advice about helping to lighten it up a bit so it looks more blonde? I have got a silver shampoo that I use but not sure if this will be enough to brighten it up so that you can see the balayage a bit better. Happy to tone it again if that is what is recommended.

Thanks for your help!

If you could take a picture that would help a lot..
but you know toning is just taking unwanted colours out of hair right? silver shampoo isn't going to lighten it if its brown, silver just tones out yellow, and if it isn't yellow and more orange it really wont do anything

ash colors are typically darker looking, good news is ash tones are the first to leave the hair,i would just use a clarifing shampoo, once!
