Hi everyone, could do with your help...
I recently had my hair dyed at a salon, (permenant) a slightly darker brown than my natural colour, it hasnt gone wrong and doesnt look bad, but I dont actually like it! it looks the same brown really but in certain lights it was very red around the roots, so I have been washing my hair in Head and Shoulders and Washing up liquid which has really faded it, I would be quite happy but Im left with a slightly orange/ginger tinge in certain light. I have been reading that toning shampoo can get rid of this, but Ive looked in Boots and I dont have a clue what Im looking for!!! Are toning shampoos called toning shampoo because I couldnt find any?!
So what I want to know really is which is the best one to go for? What's it called? and where do I get it?
Thanks. x

Toning shampoo is not meant for what you are describing. It is meant to maintain blonde, keeping gold and yellow tones at bay. It sounds like you need to go back and get a semipermanent color, one that will cut the brassy glow for good. No shampoo will give you what you are looking for.
