Hey huys, i just wanted to ask all of you where you got your towels from.
I do nails, but i also do swedish massage. I just cant find any nice soft ones that dont cost the earth!
As many of you know i got a loan, and i thought i had budgeted enough for towels, but i soo havent!

And also what colours do people get? do you prefer to have nice natural ones and bright coloured one.
I thought i might get some neutral ones for my massage (as i may get men for this service and they might not like bright pink towels!) and then maybe some bright ones for the rest, as i doubt in my area i will get many (if any!) men for ped/man.

Any help most appriciated!

Oh and another small thing to add how much is it to get embroidery done on a beauty tunic. ive got a couple of brouchures but they confused saying it was like £5, but then something saying its £50 for some didgitilization? or something. (sorry cant spell!) Im also looking for a nice lilic tunic if anyone has any ideas!

Thanx everyone!!

What company are you trained with hun?

Can help with embroidery but I haver tracked down a fab supply of towels - Sky channel 644 - Bidup TV or 635 - Price Drop TV ~ I think you get both these channels on NTL & Cable as well. I bought a set of 10 Egyptian Cotton towels for the house and went back and bought more for my business. You get 4 hand towels 4 bath towels and 2 bath sheets I paid about £30 including P&P, I have priced towels from other sources and cant get anywhere near the quality or price. They come in loads of different colours I have both Lilac and White. I can honestly say they are the best quality towels I have ever owned and clients comment on them a lot. If you do go for Egyptian Cotton towels (from anywhere) dont use fabric conditioner when you wash them as this coats the fibres making them waterproof. I thought this would make them hard and stiff but no they are still thick, soft and snuggly.

I got some fab Egyptian cotton soft and fluffy towels from T K Max. I don't think you can beat soft, fluffy white towels in a salon.

Here is a link to look at for towels: http://www.majestictowels.co.uk/

As for colours i think it is just a personal preference, i have some beautifull thick soft towels that i got from Morrisons, the colours are Lilac, cream and white i use in the salon.
I also have some nice black ones i use for some beauty treatments.

For any printing and embroidery, i do know the a cost for the actual print//Embroidery is reasonable and then there is always a set up cost.
The best thing to do is speak to a printer or seamstress/Embroidery place and give them a template of your logo they will then price up the job for you, after the initial set up cost you could probably get as many prints/embroider done on anything you want quite cheap.

Dont know if that helps!

Luv 'n' hugs

I vote for Matalan too - my hand towels are £1.29 each and I pay £2.00 to have them embroidered with my business name (there's a picture in my website gallery if you want to see them)

Tunic embroidery drove me nuts when I was trying to find somewhere, they only seemed to want to do bulk orders and there's only little old me and I don't need 20 tunics

The place I get my towels done said they would prefer not to do my tunic so I didn't bother

If you find somewhere I'd be interested too

Whe I had embroidery done on tunics it was a bout £50 to set up the initial artwork (a one off fee), and then the cost varied depending on the amount done. I had 9 tunics done and it cost about £5 each.

i got my towels from asda. they've got an excellent selection and variety of colours. mine are black and they wash really nice and fluffy.

one tip.....wash them before you use them.

i forgot, and we ended up with black fluff everywhere.

Hi there

Fortunately for me there is a local warehouse that sells all sorts. I've bought my burgundy towels from there and they have lasted well. I think the biggest bath towel I bought from there was about £3 if that.
