Treatment for back-combed hair

Hi there,
I had a client yesterday with severly back combed hair with breakage at the roots. I know theirs obviously no way to cure this now, but if she keeps to her word and stops backcombing aswell as using a treatment we can assist it to grow out.
Any reccomendations treatment wise?
