Hi everyone :)

Have seen a few people on here mention the use of macadamia oil in colour/bleach services.

Im currently on the road from koleston 55/46 and majicontrast magenta red to a desired level 12 blonde, and my tutor is doing 3weekly 6% bleach baths on me followed by a trim each time ( i have frankie style hair).

Im due another one next week, and my question is can i use macadamia oil in the bleach bath to help preserve the condition of my hair even more?

If so, in what quantity should it be used?

Anyone? Im booked in for tuesday afternoon after my theory session amd my tutor is unsure as shes never used it before so if anyone knows how much macadamia oil we should put into the bleach bath please tell me asap! x

I wouldn't bother, I'd just do a proper treatment on it afterwards. I think you would get more benefit that way.

I did a bleach bath on my moms hair today, after her hairdresser decided to ignore the fact that it was previously stripped and porour and dyed it far too dark! :Scared:

I used macadamia shampoo in it, and then followed with the mask+oil. Her hair feels fine.

I love macadamia oil, I always squeeze out most of the water from my hair, and apply a good squirt of it, then wrap my hair up to let it soak in. It really softens up my coarse hair and makes drying better. :) The mask is really good for over processed hair.

Macadamia oil would be fine to use in bleach bath, it could help lift colour out just a drop :))

Use 1 full pump in bleach bath, then after do treatments, get a leave in protein treatment like matrix instacure and protopak, at home use a moisture shampoo and conditioner or your hair will hold to much protein x
