UV or LED?

Hi all,

I haven't done nails in long time since losing confidence in them when I finished college. I am going to do a CND begginers shellac course. However I am unsure which lamp to get.

I do eventually want to progress onto enhancements (Gel and L&P) but want to start small for now.

Which one would you recommend the UV lamp or the LED lamp? Price is not a big factor.

I don't think they sell the UV anymore, LED all the way anyway

I use CND Brisa gel and also Shellac. I have the CND lamp (I have their old UV lamp as well as the UV/LED lamp. I’d recommend UV/LED. Cures way faster than just UV. Plus there’s so many LED products out there now it’s nice to not be limited by your lamp.

When on their website it has a package for both lamps so was unsure which one to go for. Didn't want to go LED then have to buy the UV one for gel nail applications later on.

I’d recommend UV/LED. Cures way faster than just UV. Plus there’s so many LED products out there now it’s nice to not be limited by your lamp.

As far as I know, the CND LED UV lamp only produces UV with a 365nm wavelength. That means it is not designed to cure many other gel polishes that need 405nm wavelength UV.
