Hi all...I am just about to use igora royal vibrance on someone as a replacement for koleston colour touch. The reason being they have a great range of reds. I am using 6-89. The client has a build up of colour on colour Through mid lengths and is a flat looking 5. Will this vibrance override that and still show it true to its tone on the chart?
I dont want to bleach bath up a shade as 2 treatments ago she had pre lightened ends for dip-dye and that was coloured over last time, but the bleached ends are more porous/dry.
She always wants different things and hair is long passed bra strap...I dont want it to break so i like the idea of a demi, but feel the build up could neutralise what i want to do.
Advise needed please..thank you in advance:Scared:

whats her regrowth like? 6-89 is gorg and really glossy,

What about using 6% on roots, 9% on mid lengths and back to 6% on ends where it will be a bit more porous on ends where it was pre lightened before. X

vibrance can only be used with1.9% or 4%

Haha yeah I've just realised that I've completely mid read that post sorry guys!! Xx

Infact we don't have the vibrance range in our salon, would u recommend it? We only have the igora royal and absolutes and can't fault them never used the vibrance range, would love a bit of feedback .. Xx

they are amazing, so glossy, use them more than igora royal only use these for grey or high lifts, the vibrance are great for low lites.. Couldnt live without them lol

Glossy would be great..I just hope it is bright enough through the depth of the coloured 5..I was actually hoping someone would suggest 9% on the mid lengths as it would be the least messy way to lift it slightly!. Yes it is just a demi, but....would that idea work?

never heard anyone use 9% with vibrance sorry cant help with that, why dont you do it with igoral royal then and next time use vibrance to refresh,

You can't use 9% with vibrance sorry I Mis read that but what mm29 said use igora royal and next time re fresh with the same colour but in the vibrance range next time! Xx

ok for fear of looking unprofessional here...her appointment is in the morning, and I dont stock IR. we only stock KOleston range. The vibrance range just leapt out at me in the wholesalers and i thought " i think i will be converting"...so for now only have the 6-89vibrance.
In your experience of this colour do you think the 5 would show bright enough with on it? or would it be lost on the darkness of a 5.
She wants a plummy red that glows those tones in the bright light

I've never used the vibrance range thats one for mm29 sorry if not is there any other colour you could use and save the vibrance for a different day xx

its hard to tell as iv not seen the hair or know the condition, firstly i would expain what your target is but make her well aware that there is alot of colour build up on the hair so you cant guarantee the vibrancy this time, (you have a tint brush not a magic wand)lol

I would use your 6-89 with 4% on mid lengths and end then apply to root area. no more than 20mins!

The reason i asked about her regrowth as you might need to add small amount of base if she has a root so thats not alot more vibrant.

Whats her regrowth??

if she has roots do
6-89 4% mid and ends
6-89 1.9% roots 20 mins

really comb thru and emulsify at back wash

The tone should come thru ok x let us know how it goes

the regrowth is about 1 inch so will defo add a base (colour touch 6) I will use 4% to get max lift but soooo tempted to just push the limits of 6% in order to get that bit extra lift to show the brightness of the colour on the mid lengths. Hate cocktails and guesswork..If clients could see how nervous we get sometimes when we are mixing up in the staff room, then come out all smiles and confident...lol

ther is a 5-89 and its gorg so even if you get the tones but not the lift happy days. or even do a few bleach slices thru hair bring up to orange then use vibrance, good luck

i will let you know how it comes out. I am usually so confident on colour, but every 6 months or so, I make an apperance on here panicking about something! :Scared:

we all get like that, hope it goes well x

how did it go??
