Hi how does every1 do theirs- what's the best way- we have a washing machine an a drier which we used to use, electric was high but our drier kept breaking!!!!!!!- lasted months this time.

What does every1 do with there's?
I started taking them to the dry cleaners -as they said it works out cheaper and so many salons do this as I see them go in there. this is costing £60-80 a week.... Which is £4k a year...... No way is my electric bill more than that or any where near

Towels washed at 60 degree's, towels in the drier if I can't hang them out to dry. I got my machine and drier from John Lewis ... great value, 7Kg load for each and a three year warranty as standard.

Though when it comes to replacing it, if I can get a supply pipe round to that side of the room I will probably look at getting a Gas Tumble dryer. They cost the same, but are about 61% cheaper to run!

Actually turned my stomach!! Thats awful! If they can do that, heck knows where else they may be skimping on their hygeine standards!

We used bio-degradable ( hope I spelt that right ) towels called easy dry! One use then we throw them away! Amazing!

They feel awful!! Prob spend more doing that than buying and washing!! X

I worked in a salon years ago as a trainee and the towels were used over and over again, I would have to tumble dry them about 3 times a day cus it was a very busy salon and then they would be washed once a week so I'd say each towel was used on about 10 - 15 people before it was washed and it was a decent salon and the clients were quite well off. But it was disgusting what they did. I didn't stay there long enough to qualify as after 9 months I could stand it no longer. On the salon floor it was lovely and clean and had a very good reputation and clientele but behind the scenes was a completely different story :(

Ick the salon i juniored in only tumble dried the towels, it was on like 90 degrees or something but still minging.

The temp on a dryer does nothing, it's like people saying put lice infested towels and gowns in a boil wash. No washer reaches boiling so I prefer to put them in a sink with hot water then pour a couple of boiling kettles on.
Then I put them in a "boil" wash in the machine. Xoxo

I wash with prewash and Ace Bleach, fairy as it's gentle and lots of comfort pure. Then in my drier with sheets that smell of sea breeze or cool linen... Mmm soft and fluffy

I put half a capful of bleach in with my bed sheets for te wash, use softener in rinse then re rinse with bleach because I love the smell ;p xoxo
