I think I made a point about that in my other post on this thread which must have been missed as ever lol.

I believe it is down to the grass roots technicians in conjunction with the local councils, H&S and Trading Standards and our clients who have been harmed by these salons.....if we all can 'report' every instance and get on their backs, maybe we can plug away from the bottom.

Sorry Cathie... I was naughty and read three and replied... I don't have a problem at all with the concept but this should be something that allows everyone to get involved!! (IMHO)...

Yes, I guess I've gone a bit off topic because my view is that it should be policed locally.....it cannot be policed nationally.....policed for want of a better word....

and it has to come from a grass roots level as we are the guys on the streets doing the nails and dealing with the aftermath of the NSS salons.

If we bombard our H&S people with these compalints, sure they have to sit or stand up and listen.....it was highlighted at their last conference, so lets highlight it for their next conference!

This very subject was also highlighted in this month's Professional Beauty in the letters section....

There is an online petition for people to sign which was set up by Rachel Myatt from The Association of Nail Technicians....I'm not sure whether this petition has been covered before as I can't see any dates on it, but here's the link if you want to sign it.

I signed it.... i was sure id seen it before so looked at all the sigs... okay i scanned them for my name and yep.... i have now signed it twice...oops!

And if 18,000 members could sign Rachel's petition, sure that would be making a statement to the UK Government, from the world's biggest community of salon professionals?

I've just signed this and it says there are only 508 signatures, surely we can do better than that!

Already signed it and when I did it said 502 and that was hours ago, sounds like they don't up date instantly
We just have to keep plugging away and keep this on the front page 18 thousand would be really something wouldn't it?
