Somebody pleeeeeeease help me!!

I have blonde hair that was highlighted but got fed up of the dark roots showing through, i`m about a 5 base naturally but i must have alot of warmth in my hair because since ive gone for a root tint it goes very gingery which doesnt match the ends!!

I use wella koleston as i find their colours less gold than loreal but i dont want to be platinum blonde so i steer away from the 12`s and usually go for a 10. Last time i went for 10.6 but it still went super ginger :(

I like to be fairly light but as i say not platinum, just naturally light blonde (dont want much hey)?
after that i usually have an iced milkshake toner after some 8,1 lowlights finely running through (both of those are loreal)

Ive read that 10.8 in the wella is blue so kills gold but im not sure its strong enough to kill my warmth, has anyone used a squidge of blue mixer tone in with the 10.8 tint?

I just dont know what to do anymore and my hairdresser is almost at a loss too!!

Thanks to anyone who has any helpful advice!!!

We can't advise you as your not a hair professional. Your hairdresser should be able to help you though. But please stop using professional products as you don't understand the chemistry in them and what to do when it goes wrong.

well actually i am a qualified hairdresser but i gave it up to go into beauty which im qualified in too, ive also worked in salons since i was 15!

I know about colours but obviously if someone who is highly experienced in wella had any useful advice then that would help me more

thanks!

Hey, wasnt gunna comment but as you said youre a hairdresser then i cant be faulted for giving you advice lol

First of all, you cant get a 10 from a base 5 just using tint which is why you went 'ginger'

You wouldnt be platinum with a highlift so id suggest one of the 12 range, however not over the hair youve already coloured.

Blue doesnt counteract gold lol mauve does... Gold:mauve copper:blue red:green

I dont use wella as it always comes out khaki but id suggest using a 902s majiblonde as the 2 will neutralise your warmth if it is infact gold, if its more of an orange tone then 901s withh 911.... If you can translate that into wella colours, go for it because i cant lol
