Hi all
Just wanted to check when pre-pigmenting with wella do you use koleston or colourtouch and do you use it neat or mix with developer? Thanks

Wella recommend to use the special mixes, and dilute with 60mls of warm water use between 5-30cm of special mix. Or 15ml red/gold tint again mix with 60ml of warm water.

Yes you can also use colour touch special mix plus 60mls of 1.9% emulsion.

You could use the perfecton range xx

Yes the perfection range and colour fresh, these r also good for post pigmentation too.

You can also use the special mix 5-30cm, 60ml of warm water with 15ml of 9%. For post pig.

I personally use the colour touch range; with 1.9 as I don’t need to lift I’m only depositing tone and depth. For instance for a warm chocolate brown I would use 77/45 as the pre pig and then the other colour on top :) great results! :D

Out of interest, would you wash out your 77/45 pre-pig, then apply Koleston, or apply Koleston straight on top of the Color Touch.
Thanks. :wink2:

Id wash the CT out first and get one of the juniors to blast dry it off while I have a sneaky cig haha and then apply the koleston over it :D

Actually you should pre-pig with 6 to 10 gs of /34 & 60gs in Colour touch & leave for 20 minutes & dap off any excess & apply the desired shade in Colour Touch too.

My sisters hair was bleached today then a toner was used and it came out a really nice blonde but she wanted it whiter so she decidedto bleach it herself when she got home!! Nightmare! So now her hair is white in some areas and yellow in others and she wants to go dark again can i use colour fresh by wella to pre pig before using a quasi?! If so what shade would be best?? Quick replys needed as it needs to be sorted tomorrow! Thanks in advance!

What depth does she want to be? B

She wants to be near black but i just want to get her to about a 5 or a 6 at least can i use a shop brought quasi as its cheaper? Thanks

Omg!! That's the biggest insult!! You need to use 3/66 if your doing black

Tell me about it! I wasn't very happy shes gone lighter now did some test cuttings and bleached it again but shes gonna go darker again next week thanks for the help!

If you are Pre pigmenting to a 5 use ( mix and more) 3.5 inches 0/43 + 3.5 inches 0/ 45 and 60 ml water , apply to hair develop 10 mins , wipe away excess apply desired shade
