I’m wanting to make a clients hair more ashy and remove the reddish tones. It’s around a base 5 and I’m working with wella products... any suggestions?

Thanks !

Are yiu taking them lighter, darker or keeping it at a 5 without warmth?

keeping to a 5, just wanting to take away the warm tones

How warm is it? Can you compare it to a wella shade so I have insight as to how warm it is?

I’d say close to a 5/7 maybe a little darker

If it's close to 5/7 then you could use illumina 5/81 with 1.9% this will neutralise the warmth.
If you want a true ash tone then you'll have to pre lighten and then neutralise the exposed tone then deposit the desired shade.
