I have a fab and much-respected hair stylist. I'm thinking of going quite a bit shorter (hair, not legs!) and wondered whether to print off a few style ideas......or is this secretly frowned on by the profession?

I always found it helpful tbh when a client describes something they don't always describe it too clearly. Print some ideas of and then discuss with your sylist how to make it "you".

Thanks, Wendy! x
Anyone agree or disagree?

i like it weh clients bring in pictures , because sometimes wires get easily crossed as people dont always describe things the same x

Sometimes when describing what you want can be tricky. A stylist will do her best to decipher what you are trying to describe. So the best way would be to show some photos in my opinion but clients need to remember that having the hair style they choose may not suit their face shape so a good stylist will advise as such and adapt accordingly with your agreement.

Most salons have magazines for clients to look at, so on the whole I would say it is a good idea.

Hope this helps

Yes it helps. It is far better than clients saying "cut it into a shape" or other meaningless stuff like that.
