I have searched to find the answer but can't seem to find it.

I was just wondering what you fellow geeks charged for your polishes ?

I jus feel that £10.00 is too expensive for my area x

How about double, say around £8 - £8.50. Mind you, it's up to you what your mark up is. If you want to sell more at less profit then go for it. xx

I charge the rrp... you should do the same (IMO)

can your clients walk into Boots or Superdrug and buy professional nail enamel/polish that gives the same results for a lesser price?
nope, they can't... so charge accordingly.

If they want quality then they pay a slightly higher price for it :)
xx

Hiya, I charge the full RRP. I don't sell that many polishes anyway & lowering my prices wouldn't mean I sold any more. I'd just be cutting my profit for nothing. I agree that it sounds a lot when you compare it to the usual stuff that people can buy from any old shop but you are paying for quality. Creative polishes are well worth the extra money as they are professional quality. People who buy my polishes have generally been in for a manicure previously so they can see how good the polishes are & don't mind paying £10 for them. If you start lowering your prices, it devalues the brand you use & people won't see that it stands out from the usual stuff they can buy. (hope that make sense, I'm a little tired!) HTH

I painted a clients nails yesterday and she wanted to buy the polish, so I said because it was previously open she could have it for £7.50. She seemed happy enough..... But if I were to sell one new I would sell it at full RRP.....

I was taught to go by this rule, if you buy it for £2, sell it for £6 and then if you have a half price sale you can still make a profit, makes sense to me!
