Hi lovelies, as the title suggests - for those of you who have the Glassholm table from Ikea as their nail desk, what drawer units did you team with this? I'm after something which looks like they're an extension of the table (so sit alongside, not underneath it). Thanks! x

You can try the Alex units from Ikea. They can sit next to the desk or under. You might have to raise them a bit since the height won't be flush to the table, but they are amazing for storage!

Thank you, just looked and yes the Alex unit is perfect!

I'm now wondering whether I could use that unit as the legs for the Glasholm table at one end...?

Theoretically, yes. I have both the table and the unit and I slide my table up to the drawer unit as I like to move my table towards my clients if they aren't sitting upright. (she's 92 so I forgive her, others get told) I'm not sure if you can buy the table legs singularly, I think they come as a pack of four so you have both options.

Thanks! I'm just thinking in terms of space saving - as I could do with a storage unit either side of the Glasholm, but the total width of Glasholm plus both units when simply side-by-side is pretty wide (something like nearly 170cm I think!) so thinking of ways to reduce that without losing too much leg room!

Alex comes in different widths. 36 and 67

You can place both Alex units halfway under the table. This way it saves space width wise and you will still have leg room. Otherwise you can buy the Adils legs (only ones that screw on the glasholm table) and use those on one side.

I've ordered the 36cm version! :-D

Yay this is exactly what I'm hoping to do! thanks xx

On a totally different subject, I just saw on another (very old) thread I came across when doing some research that you got yourself a kneeling chair for doing pedis? How did you find it? Do you still use it? I'm thinking of doing the same - i.e. sit on lower end with clients foot on higher end for painting toes, and then using it the correct way round for my seat when doing nails. Interested to hear how you got on with one! :) x

I don't use it anymore as I have moved into my own salon and have more space. I now have a hydraulic chair that I can raise to the height I need or the lay on the beauty bed. But it definitely works and I used it a lot.
