Hi,

We have a client who comes in to use our lie down sunbed. She's used it for a while now...and recently started to do 15 minutes (she usually does 12 and buys courses for the sunbed of 75 minutes) a couple of weeks ago she said the sunbed just cut off and 12 minutes-lights went out but timer was still running. So we put the remaining minutes back on her course. I then put 5 coins into the sunbed for 15 minutes and it didn't cut off at all. The other day I was trying to figure out what was happening, put coins in the sunbed let it run for a bit, pressed the stop button above the head area....lights go off and timer still running.

Today this lady has been back in and the same has happened again, she did 15 minutes, got to 12 minutes and cut off. I politely asked her if she had pressed anything above her head..."no it just cut off. Your machine is broken" so I told her I'd get it checked and put the remaining minutes back on her card. So this afternoon after she had been on, we have had 3 12 minutes on back to back and then 3 15 minutes and no one has said it's cut off.
Can anyone advise on what to do next and Does anyone else think she's taking us for a ride?

Thanks
Sophie

That does sound fishy!

Anyway you can disconnect the stop button or tape a pot over it so she can't get to it?

I realise it's probably there for safety but anything you could rig up just for this client's appt?

I would just get it pat tested and explain there is no fault x

Don't think u can pat test a commercial sunbed as it will be wired in on its own connection to the fuse box.... I'd be tempted to sit outside the door and time it whilst she was on it as you will be able to see the blue light around the door so will know if it has gone off before the right time.
