I am looking for somthing that can be applied to the toes to help the nail grow out better. I dont know what kind of fungus she has but she tired a cream that has not worked. I saw an ad for vite20 antifungal cream in nails mag and wonder if it works. Got any ideas of what she can buy?

Hi

my mother in law had a fungal infection on both her big toes last year, she tried the tablets and creams from the doctor - they didn't work so i got her some anti fungal drops from OPI and suggested she use tea-tree oil in footsoaks - seems to have done the trick.:)

Any kind of fungal infection i prefer to refer to her to a doctor. I've never really tried to treat it myself....not much help sorry.

Sounds as if this case needs to be referred to a doctor so that the person could get the correct cream/medicine for what they have?!

Lamasil or lodasil from the doctor. Topical Creams do not generally work if the fungal infestation is acute as the cream cannot get to the seat of the infestation. You must use an internal medicine. It is not for us to treat this type of thing ... a podiatrist or a General Practitioner should look at it.
