please let me know if this is more appropriate in the ask a pro section.

But I've now had a Hollywood wax twice. 4 weeks of growing previously shaved hair. Then 4 weeks later for second wax.

I had my second wax a week ago tomorrow.

Since then (literally once I got home) I've noticed a reasonable amount of hair on the inside-y section. (I don't know the names?!)

I've also already had noticeable regrowth on the main public area.

Are both of these acceptable? Is it because the area is still new to waxing?

I've become friends with my wax therapist so do I say about these things and if so, how?

I would contact your therapist and ask her to take a look. Hair does grow at different rates particularly as you used to shave so after 2 waxes then it is unlikely that all the hair is yet in the same stage of the growth cycle, however you should not be left with any hair at all on the labia for a Hollywood and no matter how quickly your hair grows it won't have grown between you leaving the salon & getting home! It can be difficult to get every last hair sometimes & takes patience & an eagle eye. You have to be a bit obsessed! [emoji23] If I was your therapist I would want to see it and have the opportunity to put it right. Just say to her you can still feel some hair and can she check it for you.

Hiya,

Sorry to hijack the post - have you persevered with waxing @Grace_Hair ?
I've tried hair removal creams, epilating, shaving and none of it lasts more than a couple days (even in that time it's not smooth).

Hair removal cream works on my legs etc but not my bikini line!!

I really want to try waxing but does the hair need to be quite long?

Help me haha!! TIA!:D

I have perserved.

My friend is more thorough. Although I still get the issue with the labia section.

It's absolutely fine for the first week and a half. From then on, I would really like it done again, if I could afford. However. If I was in a long term relationship it would be fine. But I'm dating so would prefer silky smooth. If you get my drift.

The growth for the first wax seems long. However. After the first wax it's a lot more sparse. I tend to go every 4 weeks.

Yeah that's the thing, dating is the worst :p That's why I was thinking about waxing and hoping it would at least last a little longer without the ugly rash from shaving!!

I might give it a go! THANKS!

Most of what I do is intimate waxing and I agree with the above post- it shouldn't be growing that quickly!

So to reiterate above, either due to you shaving the hair could be at different growth stages and you will need a few sessions of waxing every 4 weeks to get it up to speed and all coming out at the same time, OR the therapist is waxing but breaking the hair so it's not being removed properly at the root but breaking at the skin?
I obsessed with hair and have to get every last one but depending on how confident your therapist is at waxing she might not be waxing thoroughly over the inner and our labia parts? I usually give the client a mirror while I'm faffing about taking gloves off etc so they can have a quick check before they leave the room. Rather that so I can correct while they're still with me than go home and complain after. Xx
