Hello everyone

Can someone give me a bit of advice, I've started trying to sculpt (talk about trying to run before you can walk!!) but i'm finding it easier to create a smile line sculpting than with tips. The problem I am having however is after creating the initial smile line and the white is very very thin, I then need to go back and make the white thicker (i'm finding this very hard to explain!) I really muck it up. I get another bead place it on the very very thin white, when I try to spread it it ends up lumpy in places hollow in other places and because i've pushed the bead up towards the smile line I created with the original white bead it creates what I can only describe as a 'wave' effect, and it look terrible the shape is right but has too may 'waves' in it.

I hope SOMEONE understands what i'm trying to say.

confused, and frustrated

Oh damm...i have just posted a reply to yur thread explaining exactly what was wrong went to my son in bed as he was crying came back hadnt relised i hadn't sent it and returned to the home page and lost the lot.....damm!!!

Well only half is true...the bit about my son!

You say that it is lumpy, could this be down to your ratio mix being too dry. The product holding up before you have had time to work it....

When applying the second bead could yu take it a little past above the first bead so you are not getting this wave effect?

Don't worry i'm sure there will be more experienced and cleverer Geeks along shortly to answer your thread....

Hiya Debbie

Thanks for your reply, I have tried taking the 'waves' 'over the edge' (this is getting complicated!) but it then mucks up my smile.

Thanks anyway

Hi Tamzin

Have you checked this out?

http://www.thenailgeek.com/showthread.php?t=2754

Its one of the nail geeks tutorials and its a fab one.
Also on the ceasors secrets site there is a sculpting video you can find the site under the links section.

I take a bead of white, Place in middle of free-edge zone one, Press down and work firstly to the left then to the right. Pressing down to the natural smile line. Then take my brush and sweep beneath the smile line to neaten.
Hope that makes sense.

Here is the Cesars Secrets link. click on this then when you get the black page up just click on the English flag, that will take you straight to the video tutorial. they take a bit to load but are worth it as you can watch someone sculpt over and over again untill you 'get it'.

It won't play right, it stops and starts.

ok. The stops and starts thing is only when the thread is loading for the first time. Once you have loaded it fully you can then just click on the play button and play it over and over again without the stops and starts.

I always turn the music off too as I find it very distracting.

PM me if you have any more problems.
