Hi all I'm training in Gelish and have just painted a nail and been left with a bump (of polish?) on one nail. It's nothing from
My natural nail but I'm unsure what's caused it.

Looks like it could be a bit of fluff or nail debris. I used to get this before I swapped to lint free wipes. I use the mundo ones after trying a few that said they were lint free but weren't.

I use shellac and you can gentle buff the lump away and then top coat. I'd guess you can do that with gelish too.

You can buff away and either just topcoat or little bit of colour and top coat...any bit of lint, dust can make such an impact! I hate it when clients move their hair out of the way after the base coat! I use Gelish btw xx

Could also be due to an air bubble in the polish if it has been shook. Xx

I always got bits of fluff stuck to my nails when I did them myselfor when I polished the nails as I would with a client (working on both at the same time), but now I base, colour and top coat one before moving over to the next one.

If you do notice you have something stuck in your polish you can gently use a stick to pick it up before its cured stuck to the nail.

A pair of pointed electrolysis tweezers are handy for removing bits if you spot the problem when the gel is still uncured
