Hello trusty geeks!

So from my million other posts, you'll know that I am in the process of setting up my mobile business. I now need to get all my kit together ready to go so I can give off that professional appearance!! lol The things I'm looking for are things like nail cleanser dispenser, spray bottles, a mobile beauty case for all my gels and polishes etc. I'm also still looking for a table that I can easily transport. Ive looked all the usual places, ebay, amazon and beauty supply companies but cant seem to find anything suitable at a reasonable price. Just wondered if you knowledgeable lot would have any recommendations??

Thanks x

I just use things in the bottles they come in, why decant? But keep things upright.
I'd recommend spending enough to get a decent quality folding table (getting the width right is important) and an adjustable height stool. I think I paid around £150 for both which was reasonable as I still have both 12 years later. Don't look for cheap.

No, your right, i want the right balance of quality items with out over paying. I want a table that will last (I was always told buy cheap, buy twice!) but some pleaces really do take the mic!! lol Ive seen those 'proper' nail tech tables on ebay for around £40/50 do you think they are any good? I guess Im just worried about spending a lot of money when I dont get to see the product in person then it arrives and is no better than a camping table!! Figured you guys would know the trustworthy, quality brands? Then at least if I know from your experiences that they are of decent quality I wont be worrying about what rubbish Ive just ordered!! ha ha x

I got mine albeit a long time ago from Ellisons, £100 table, but it's sturdy, doesn't wobble, has a hole in it to feed a lead through, has a rim to contain spillage should you knock over a bottle of say acetone, which would ruin a clients laminate floor, for example, rubber feet for protection, easy clean surface - all very worthwhile features to look for - and the right width- get one too wide and you'll have backache
And I paid £50 for s lightweight portable stool with non slip Feet, gas lift adjustment and swivel action so you can turn to get your products easily or reach whatever
I'd imagine the same things might be a bit more now

Oooh hadn't thought about a rim around the edge! yes that is def a good thing to avoid a potentially expensive visit!!! yes, finding something suitable thats also narrow enough is the problem. Ill have a look at Ellisons. I guess like everyone starting out, im cautious about keeping start up costs down incase it just doesnt work out but also dont want to have cheap looking products that put people off me. Its quite a nice area round here and people would be easily put off by an unprofessional/cheap appearance! thanks for the advise! x

Some good tips x

Hi sorry to cut in like this. I am also trying to start mobile, and I looked into portable table and a stool... but the issue I have is that packing and unpacking all of it will probably take more time than the treatment itself. How do you do it?

I don't anymore Inga. I still use my mobile table & stool but work from my home.

There are lots of issues with being mobile which I couldn't handle as my many posts on the site will reveal

But I still stand by my advice on what to buy.

I think mobile techs undervalue themselves and should charge more on the whole.

I have a mobile table, a kidney shaped one off eBay. I am actually really impressed with it. It hasn't got all the extra features blossom has on hers it is just a plain table but it's been working ok for me comes in a travel bag and I can get it up and down pretty quick. From eBay as well I also bought a metal box on wheels type storage for about £60 and its been really good. Although I will say my items don't get the same amount of use as other peoples as nails isn't my full time job xxx
