I use Gellux gel polish but would like recommendations for regular polish brands please?

I love using OPI nail polish for regular polish x

All that jazz for me.
Fab colour range, full coverage in 2 coats & dries super fast :) x

CND Vinylux. No base coat required, dries within minutes.

I am trying to switch for CND Vinylux, but I can't say I am always happy with end result. Is there any secret with it's application? I am used to China Glaze, which I like during the application, but it doesn't last long. With Vinylux it sometimes gets uneven and amateur looking, especially when applied thinly.. so I am a bit concerned ...
Any tips?

With vinylux you are best doing thin layers. Build up the colour with often 3 coats to give complete coverage. If there are ridges in the nail defo 3 coats needed.
The colour can look quite Matt with vinylux but super shiney once the vinylux top coat is on.
Don't be tempted to use a different brand of top coat. Stick with the system.
My clients just love it! Lasts forever on toes

Thanks! Yeah I am not about to give up on it just yet. So trying different approaches really. Speaking of toes though - i have a client that is requesting shellac pedi. I never done shellac pedi before, just on myself and it last like forever... so I am wondering if it is ok to have shellac longer than 14 days?

Thanks everyone!!

Shellac is fine to be left on for longer than two weeks.
On hands I advise clients to have new set every 2-3 weeks.
Although I have one client that goes four weekly with all the gel still intact but the regrowth is huge!!
For toes, shellac will stay on for weeks, it's the regrowth that makes them come back for a re-do or removal.
To be honest though I do mainly vinylux on toes because it lasts for a couple of months and the client can remove themselves .
I only tend to do shellac on toes if they want glitter or nail art.
I charge the same for a traditional pedi with soaking as I do for a shellac pedi.

Thanks for the explanation :) Very useful!

Just to add that you need to "float" the Vinylux top coat when applying.
