Hi guys,
I've received my first order of stamping goodies and nail foils (YAY!) but I'm seeing varying procedure processes online. Should I be buffing the top coat before continuing (for either or both) or do I go just sandwich the art between two top coats? I use Gelish.
Thanks in advance :)

I use CND shellac.

You're right there seem to be various ways of doing it

Personally I stamp over top colour coat and before top coat, to prevent that extra thickness which is not so pretty and takes longer to soak off

But I've read on here people do a variety of things.

How are you getting on with the stamping?

Actually, surprisingly really well! I have read so many posts and blogs about difficulties with stamping but I literally practiced on a few spare tips before tonights clients and this is my first client attempt. Your response was the only one going into the appointment so I did as you suggested by stamping over top colour coat before top coat :)
This is konad polish btw with bornpretty marshmallow stamper and plates. Quite impressed given I bought these cheaper items to have a play with stamping before investing further.

I find the best procedure for foiling is to - base, 2 colour coats, remove inhibition layer, apply foiling adhesive and allow to dry, apply foils then top coat twice. Sure I got these tips from some of Sarah R's YouTube videos and it works perfectly for me. I know some people apply foils straight onto tacky colour coat but certain brands don't work well that way.
