Hello there
I am a mobile beautician who has to move around as my husband is in the forces. Therefore it is taking a long time for me to get established. I get a good client base and then have to move.
Anyway I have a predicament. Last year I wasn't very busy with my beauty side of the business. So I was approached to join Virgin Cosmetics. I joined and enjoyed it for a while. We had just moved to the area and have recently moved not far away, so now I have a client base.
But now it's coming up to me making a decision whether to re-join Virgin Cosmetics for the winter or focus all my efforts into this business.
Since last Christmas I have done a lot of training inc. massage, acrylic nails and now spray tan.
I am hoping that although I expect some decline in business (e.g. pedicures, waxing) that I should be able to get through the colder months OK.
I wondered if any other beauty therapist/nail tech. has any advice on this one?
This is my first year of paid advertising and am just getting a website sorted too.
Does having a website really generate that much business? And do you have to pay a lot to get your site to the top of the page? Traffic management I think it is called.
My gut instinct is telling me to stick with what I know, and really give it a go this winter.
Any advice would be appreciated. I have to make a decision shortly and it is taking me too long to decide.
Thanks a lot
