Will I have to train separately to be able to use gel polishes?

Hi I know this may sound laughable so bear with me, I’m booked in to training in hard gel system, will this allow me to use gel polishes too? Or will I need separate training to be able to use this? I assumed once I complete the training I could but it’s dawned on me that I might not be able to! Also when doing enhancements do you only use gel polish or do you sometimes use conventional nail polish? TIA

I cant help on the first question but when I trained in gel enhancements we was always told that we could use standard polish over the top xx

If your course doesn't include gel polish applications then you will need to train in that separately to enable you to get insurance.

Enhancements can be left as they are, have gel polish applied or conventional nail polish

VTCT have hard gel extensions and gel polish as two separate units so I guess you will need both.
