So you have a base coat on the nails and then the paint, is it an acrylic paint and if so does it stay on ok? I recently used a white acrylic paint to do my nails and it's not so good, they're chipping.

I painted the nails white with polish first. And I think I remember replying to that thread. Acrylic paint on its own will chip, yes. But acrylic over polish will generally last as long as the polish. It might wear off the tips a bit after a few weeks, just like regular polish can, but it holds up pretty well.
