Hi everyone, I'm a qualified Beauty Therapist and Nail Tech at Level 2. I'm 42 and due to family circumstances had to change career for about 6 or 7 years. Now I'm back doing mobile nail work and have started getting my confidence back to do gel extensions but I really need some work experience on the beauty side, waxing, facials etc..
One salon was going to give me the experience but then changed their mind as the couldn't get government funding for apprenticeship (applied too late) so they let me down. I can do all these treatments but lack the confidence as I haven't done them in many years. Is there anyone out there that could take me on at least one day a week to give me help me refresh my skills. I love doing beauty treatments but don't want I apply for a job that I'm not confident in doing due to being out of practice. Im taking an online course at the moment but I still need to do that hands on practice. I want to do my level 3 next year.
Can anyone help me? Everywhere is geared to helping out the younger therapists!!
