Hiya,

I can't see where to buy Xen Tan 1ltr bottles, therefore just wondering if you can pour the Xen-Tan Mist Intense into your spray tanning machine and apply to a client that way?

Also, what's your thought's on Xen Tan is this a brand you would recommend to use on clients or are there better tanning solutions out there?

Thanks,
Danielle

I really did like it but I tried it quite a while ago and there was only one shade which isn't good enough for working with.
I use Sienna x

answered your 1st question on the other thread :)
Xen Tan is a great soloution, it gives everyone a lovely natural tan no orange it sight! and wears off really well, and also smells fab! it is quite dear compared to some other brands but premium products is what I'm all about :)
The only down side is folk that like to be dark and are pale (me!) you have to tan twice (I leave 4 hours between) to achieve the darker look (still not orange as I would be with for example 12% sienna, had it done looked like an ompa lumpa! lol)
Have been saying this for ages but I will get some booster drops and try it, if it works out ok on me then for me Xen Tan will have no flaws!
b4 and after pic on my album. hth xx

Hi Sarah,

Thanks for your reply, I had a look at your pics and the XenTan looks really nice and natural, but where do you buy the 1 litre solution from? I can't see this on the Xen Tan website.

I have had a look on the Sienna X website and cant seem to purchase anything from there as it's asking for company name, VAT reg number etc when you reach the checkout which I dont have at the moment as I have just recently started mobile tanning and I want to build up a customer base and see how it goes first - is there any other websites that I can purchase Sienna X solution from to try and test out this new hobby of mine?

Thanks
Danielle

Perhaps better to call the companies for samples if you have'nt tried them there are loads out there, I love then Xen Tan but maybe get both and try them? Have you done any tan training ? just no info on your profile about it xx

Hiya

Yeah I have done my spray tanning course and ordered my tanning tent, just unsure which machine and solution to go for as there are so many.

I'm doing it more for a hobby and doubt I will be doing excessive amounts of spray tanning so was looking at the TS10 Maximist Lite HVLP.

What's your thought's on machine's?

Danielle xx

You dont need a VAT no etc to order Sienna, I have never come across that problem before. You can order Sienna from ellisons which I sometimes do if I am making a large order on there, they also have the small try me bottles on there. However if you call Fiona at Sienna I am sure she will get samples out to you, this is the best thing to with all the lotions to be honest as what some people like others don't, with example Sarah didnt like 12% sienna but it's my most popular solution. I was sprayed with Xen and really liked it but when I got samples it didnt go down well at all with my customers, its all trial and error so get as many samples as you can before you decide.

Xen dont do litre bottles just gallon and half gallon so you wont find smaller anywhere.

Hi,

I have used Xen Tan for a whole year and I am closing my account tomorrow!

Yes, the Tan is lovely, not orange, dries quickly and moisturises as well. I don't have much confidence in their retail products and their customer service is disgusting.

For example: a client bought a bottle of Xen Tan but returned it to me saying it was green. Xen Tan's response? Oh, yes it does do that as we don't use parabens or artificial preservatives.
So I have to inform my clients not to worry if their tan is green, it means that its healthier for you as there arent any preservatives in it! CRAZY!

Another example: after buying A GALLON of spray tan liquid, I used it 3 times and noticed that it didnt smell of vanilla (like it should) and my clients eyes were stinging. Called Xen Tan, I sent them a sample, and their response? mmmm.... yes it does smell a bit strong, but apart from that its absolutely fine! No, you can't have a refund of over £140, nor will we exchange it!
So I have to spray my clients with a tan that is green, stinks, and stings their eyes! CRAZY!

I am so angry with them. I am midday through my complaint letter and I am closing my account.
Thought I'd warn a few people first!

Try Fake Bake! in 5 years, it never goes wrong....

Omg really shocked at this as I had a half gallon which I had had for 3 months and it turned green I returned the 3/4 full bottle and they sent me out a new one free of charge! have had 1 girl who was'nt very nice!

The downside for me is they are only catering for big businesses I dont buy any retail products as you have to bulk buy to get it at trade (unlike fake bake) I'm a small business and cant afford to do this incase clients did'nt buy then I'd be left with stock I'd paid for! I always advise clients to buy of a site I used to use before becoming a pro as it is chepaer than I could get it for (have to pay full price if not buying atleast 6 bottles of the same product!) xx

Wow this info on Xen is great as I have just emailed them to say my liquid which I started in June is now bright green. I hope they are good about replacing it, if not I too am switching to Sienna x

I swear by xen tan spray tanning lotion only tryed one of there retail products its good not brilliant.

just been reading about someone saying there customer service is terrible and about the retail product being green , a girl who works for me has complety converted to xen tan she bought the brand new dark lotion and said hers was just green ??
bit strange she jut bought a brand new bottle from debenhams the dark lotion and its so much harder to rub in it drys within seconds i dont know whats happening with xen tan atm i did explain to them on the phone about those little probs , the problem is i dont want to change cos the colour is fantastic , i dont have any problems with the spray tanning liquid at all tho.

Hi Xen have contact me and have been great so far, they are sending a sample bottle. Fingers crossed x

Yeahhhhhhhh I am pleased to announce Xen Tan are sending me a replacement bottle of tan as mine has gone green. It is good of them as I have not sent my sample in due to the fact it has got lost in the post and have been waiting for a while for the sample bottle They said they are therefore sending it as a gesture of good will.

I am a little worried now though as there seems to be lots of negativity about the colour people are getting?
