Im sorry!

Yet another tanning thread which I really didnt want to write but I have read about 99% of the threads on here.

I have the Helia ts50 gun and after just watching Steves ever so helpful vid I realise I do NOT have the Key that is need to take apart the gun!

Im pretty new to tanning and will be calling my supplier tomorrow and hoping I can order one but I have a tanning party tomorrow and was hoping to clean it tonight, is there a way to do it without the key? I don want to try if there isnt!

Also I am still finding the best setting for myself on the gun. I have aread a tonne on the back dial but not a lot on the position of the nozzle at the front,
obviously Im luck that my gun has numbers on the back dial but Im at a loss of how to find the optimum setting by using the front nozzle.

IS anyone who has the TS50 able to provide me with what they believe are the optimum settings on the back dial as well as the front, yes I believe it was covered in my training but after reading on here it looks like I was told to have it on quite high when on here it seems it should be lower.

So sorry to add to the flood of tanning threads.

I think Steve says on the video to use pliers if you loose the tool, I might be wrong though? its just a case of turning it really.

As far as settings go it can depend on what solution you use (some are thicker) and also how fast you go. I have the dial between 3 and 4, for the front nozzle if you hold the gun as if your about to spray someone I have it on the setting furthest to the left (hope that makes sense). On that setting you will get a horizontal wider spray so should use less solution than a vertical spray. It did take me a while to get used to it but if you practice on kitchen roll before you do a tan then you should have colour on the front but not soaked through to the back. Hope that helps x

Hi Zooks! On the video on YouTube he did say pliers would grip it I think, to the left to undo and right to tighten. I've moved my setting up to 5 as found I'm quite a fast sprayer and have an even 'not wet' spray, no dimply bits if you know what I mean! Xxx

Thanks Ladies!! (And Hi Claire! :) )

I'm pretty quick and had mine on 5 but had a turned it down to see how I have got on and am on 3, think I might try it on 4!

I didnt mean the 3 settings that look like rugby balls, sorry I am useless at explaining! I meant the front/nozzle. Does it make a difference what position this sits in? I thought it did?

Well done on your first paying client too Claire.

I sprayed a bride today and made a huge error.

She was 20 minutes late and I told her I didnt think Id have time to do her, as I was fully booked with people 10 minutes after her and would have to take tent down etc, she was really insistent and so I did it. Completely forgot to barrier cream her feet. Cant actually believe I did it. I did her hands and then she got up and jumped in the booth yapping about the wedding, I totally forgot. Her being late and the thoughts of my clients waiting outside the salon in the rain (hairdresser on day off so I am locked in) totally threw me.

:Scared:
