4-1-1 UV coat

Oh No. Just brought the 411 UV topcoat from Loughton. I asked the guy in the shop if it can be used with the Brisa lamp and he said yes......very confused :cry: .

I specifically asked him if it would work. Now it seems that I have just wasted my money and I've not even used it yet.

Nicki, have you had a go with it yet? I've not gotten around to doing a re-run, omitting the other top gloss which I'm hoping was part of the issue I was having with peeling (I was told to do the nails as normal, using one of the other top glosses and then further with the UV gloss) but as mentioned above, this is not necessary at all so I really want to give it another bash, using it straight over the enamel. Give it a try and see how yours fare and let us know.

Incidentally, I don't know if Loughton mentioned, but Acton suggested "double" curing if using the Brisa but obviously, once the official lamps arrive, I do think its going to be best to switch to those.

Hi, I was at the 411 Workshop on Sunday and Ketan said that the Brisa lamp can be used but instead of using it for the 2 minutes that's already programmed with the machine, you have to do it again for an additional 2 minutes.

I'm not a Brisa user so unfortunatley I'm not in a position to say if it works!, but then Ketan is 'The Man' so if he says it works then it works!

That makes me feel a bit happier. Ill give the double curing a go this afternoon and let you know what happens. My sister is desperate to try this out over her toes for her holidays.

This is waht I did, used it with my brisa lamp with no other topcoat and cured for 2mins-then 2mins Maybe i needed to leave the enamel longer to dry. Anyone who is successful with the brisa lamp and UV top caot pleeease let me know your secrets.

I think it would be in this order as air dry doesn't need a lamp to dry so it would be basecoat - enamel - air dry - then solar speed spray

There wouldnt be any point in applying solarspeed spray after as they would have dried already though wouldnt they under the lamp!!!

Hi Lucia, are you confusing Air Dry with UV Dry? Envy is talking about the former which simply air dries. What we were having queries about was the UV Dry which goes into the lamp, but Envy was just mentioning that Air Dry is pretty cool too, and excellent with a spritz of Solar Spray.

Or am I confused now :lol:

Oh come on Lucie Loo - its not that confusing :lol:, but then you were yacking all night in the chat room weren't you, partying with our Glynis :smack: . I'm telling you though, Ridge Filler and Air Dry are my numero unos at the mo!

Not heard anything from Loughton mind. Jackie did mention they had Mentoring Mondays coming up, but never heard anything again. I'm just gonna hot-foot it up to Acton for the last two Summer Sizzlers in September and October. I really enjoyed myself...but then a bit of interaction between me and a till always does me wonders: I'm anybody's if they've got goods and a cash register!

Thtats the trouble with Loughton they don't broadcast what is going on so we don't hear about it. Jackie get your finger out girl and get geeking and tell us essex girls what is going on down please..
