HI
My name is jodie, im new to this site, i have been just looking for a few weeks, it would be great to get some advice from you guys, becuase i have noticed you have a lot of experience etc, well my daughter will start full time school in January , along with my son who already goes, so i want to go back to work, but want something flexible, so thought that becoming a nail tech from home would be a good idea, as i have always been intrested in nails and beauty.I am from the Telford area , so have got intouch with beautiful nails academy, which seems brilliant, they seem nice and like they have alot of experience, the advice i need in in which course to do first, as i cant afford to do all straight away, i thought maybe manicure first, then acrylics staright after, so at least i have those two as a base, then nail art, then hopefully gel nails? and of course i want to eventually go to my local college for some beauty training, my friends also is going to be starting up mobile hair, so i thought something together would be more beneficial? what do you think, any advice much appreiciated.

Hi Jodie

Welcome to th site hun. Mobile or home based is a good place to start when your children are young as it fits in around you and your life. I would definetly do the manicure course first and then the Liquid & Powder, this is said to be the hardest system to master.

What you have to remember is this will be just the begining of your learning career with nails and the more eucation you undertake the better you will become with th help of reading and practice.
Wishing you th very best adn dont lose that passion.

good luck hun and dont forget you can post anything on here and we will help you out the best we can......
p.s the best in the industry come on here and they are allways willing to share.

by the way welcome to the site hun xx

thanks Lucia and joe for your replies, it's all so confusing lol, but im sure that i will find a way and get addicted too , this site is great for advice etc. I wish i could do all the courses quite quickly but even if i did its alot to take in and be good at all ina few months, so its probably best to take my time and make sure i am good at one type of nails, so i can offer a good standard,
thnx again
