hi all, does anyone use the tammy taylor products? i watch a lot of her videos on you tube and her nails / products always look amazing

I'm going to a 1-day course of hers in a week. It's supposed to be hardcore. I'm super excited! I received my kit in the mail, but I have yet to play with it. It includes soak off gel, hard gels, p/w acrylics, prep materials and instructional dvds. I have followed her vids on YouTube for years as well! Her products are very popular here in the USA. Tons of ppl use her products and post it on IG. Will keep you posted.

I personally have never tried the products, but to me Tammy Taylor is the queen of marketing, she has loads of collections and colours and is constantly making tutorials, she is an expert in what she does and makes them look so easy which draws people to the products, but to me they seem a bit old fashioned.. No enhancement in this day and age should require something as harsh as a 100 grit file to "remove the shine" as part of the prep, where as a system that's much more technologically advanced such as CNDs retention+ system which only requires prep with a gentle 240 grit file and is also primer less which means the system has better adhesion properties.. You shouldn't even use a 100 grit on an enhancement except for debulking prior to removing (180 for refining after application), so to use that on the natural nail just makes me cringe! - so to me I get the impression that the products aren't of great quality on their own without needing to take extreme measures x

Thats true , i just love the colours. Im thinking of tryin a young nails productsx

Hi. I have just switched to TT products and I think they are fab. Just use whatever is best for you and what works well for you. Over the years I've tried and tested different systems, brushes, files, tips, glues & forms and I now know what's works well for me. You just have to find yours. Some products are very overly priced and are just as good as the lower priced ones. But I find CND to be very pricy with prep. You need cool blue, cuticle remove, scrub fresh and this takes up so much time to. You can do prep at a fraction of the cost and in littler time other ways. Personally I would never do a set of nails without using primer for either acrylic or gel but that's just me.
