We are loving the news just in from CND about The Ashish Autumn/Winter 2012 at LFW. The collection was shown on Tuesday 21st February 2012 within the Courtyard Show Space at Somerset House in London.
The Ashish show vision was hippy with original Indian influences turned up a notch to colourful Goth! The inspiration for the piercings were from show stylist Anna Trevelyan whose nails Marian Newman had pierced at a recent film shoot; Anna wrote on her Facebook page that Nail piercings was my best decision ever...!
The premade show nails were created using CND Shellac colours Cocoa and Romantique layered for the perfect beige nude. Nail guru Marian Newman went on to say, Although Shellac would be amazing for Fashion Week shows with its instant dry-time, there isnt time to remove Shellac from all the models before they rush off to their next show. For premade tips however, it is perfect! The pinkie finger and ring finger were pierced with painted hippy charms in black, flouro green and pink that I created and sprayed by hand. These were also echoed in the amazing head pieces that some of the girls wore.
Marians team included Adam Slee and Monica Ropiha (who came all the way from Australia to work with Marian) plus Natalie, Jane and Hannah all CND Master Artists from Liza Smiths Runway team!
We are loving these images! A perfect way to start a Monday morning.
Until then...geek on!
