Beauty appointments

I work from home so i dot do walk ins only appointments only but most of my clients book 6/8 months in advance. The problem is if they fall ill or cant make there appointment i have to try and ask other clients if they would swop. I have some clients who go 2 weeks 3 weeks and 4 weeks. What appointment system do you have in place please.

Computerised appointment systems are great for some salons but personally I'm sticking with a week-to-view diary with dates and times all filled in (7.00-22.00), a pencil and a rubber!

Some of my clients don't use a computer at all plus some need extra time/ arrive late/arrive early etc so my brain is still more flexible than an app for booking an accurate schedule!

I'm the same, can't beat flipping open a diary and seeing all the available times (or not!)
I discourage bookings as far ahead as that though as past experience shows they usually end up changing all of them as stuff crops up! I'll book their next couple of months or so but that's it.
