Elemis' "Perfect Hands" Anti-Ageing Treatment collection was created exclusively to raise money for the eve appeal. Now, Elemis have announced that sales of the product have raised a whopping £9,000 which they have donated to the charity.
Created as an 'at-home spa hand ritual' the collection contained four nourishing and protecting products including the newly launched Pro-Collagen Hand and Nail Cream plus cotton gloves for an intensive overnight treat.
Elemis supports the eve appeal to help fund world class research focused on developing effective methods of early diagnosis, risk protection, prevention and treatment of all five gynaecological cancers. The team at UCL, led by Professor Widschwendter are spearheading two new research products.
The first, 'PROMISE', looks at screening for ovarian cancer, finding out how best to predict risk and diagnosis earlier in order to discover who to screen and how, for the best possible detection and successful treatment. The second project, 'EpiFem' looks at epigenetics - the impact that lifestyle and environment have on genes in the causation of cancer.
Until then...geek on!
