Some may think that this has been the worst year of Katie Holmes' life. There was a point when we all felt terribly sorry for the girl who'd been caught up in the vicious Hollywood machine and spat back out again. But geeks, dry your tears. I have a feeling this is going to be the best year for Katie Holmes.
Now that she's ditched the crazy husband (all opinions expressed here are my own), it's pretty clear no one really liked him anyway. Katie Holmes' career was stuck in neutral, some might say reverse, during her marriage to Tom but now she's having the last laugh.
Not only is she debuting her new label Holmes and Yang at New York fashion week, the cosmetic brand that's all about natural beauty, Bobbi Brown, has, for the first time, selected Holmes as their celebrity face. Having never plastered a famous face on their brand before one can't help but think there's a serious measure of support for Holmes, not to mention a nod of recognition for maintaining a dignified and gracious face in what must have been a hell of a year.
