A few weeks ago I wrote a story about a Japanese salon offering a childcare service allowing mummies to get all yummy without having to worry about their tiny terrorists ruining the salon experience. While we all loved the idea, most responses worried about the red tape involved in setting it up.
Now though, the new B10 Bar beauty bar in Chiswick is an urban retreat, furnished with style, stuffed with therapists and hairdressers and, yes that's right, childcare specialists.
The salon itself is all about providing a luxury experience - mobile phone charging stations, high-tech tablets to surf the net or catch up on TV, plus an array of mouth watering refreshments and food.
Nadia, Salon Manager says, We know that modern women find it hard to escape the stresses of everyday life and enjoy some time for themselves. Our inner-city haven provides them with a relaxing environment where they can experience luxury beauty treatments and a glossy blow-dry as they enjoy a decadent cupcake and catch up on their favourite TV show. What could be more indulgent?
The beauty bar's on-site crèche is designed to satisfy the yummy mummies out there who want to feel special, with the convenience of knowing that their precious little one is being cared for by professionals. The fun, modern, crèche is monitored by CRB-checked nursery assistants and qualified sitters, and is full of the latest toys and playthings for babies and toddlers to enjoy while their mum relaxes and enjoys some me-time. Mums even have access to tablets which are linked up to the crèche, so they can check on their little ones while they sip a coffee and enjoy a luxury pedicure.
