If there's one thing that Salon Geek lauds and praises it's passion and innovation within the industry. Salons, businesses and individuals that think outside the box and work hard to support the industry that they believe in are worth shouting about so it was great to get news of one such salon in Australia.
Professional Beauty Solutions, Australian distributor of Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics, Smiink Lashes and Image Skincare, have announced the winner of their 2012 Youngblood Salon of the Year award.
LaBella Medispa in Parkes, New South Wales, was given the award which is in its third year now. The award recognises top-performing Youngblood stockists based on passion for the brand, commitment to staff training and development, volume of Youngblood sales, customer service excellence and ability to meet business goals and targets.
Lisa Williams, National Business Development Manager for Professional Beauty Solutions says, "LaBella has brought about a dramatic increase in sales since becoming a Youngblood stockist in 2009, and we really admire the team's commitment to the brand running one-on-one Youngblood make up consultations, launching group Youngblood make up lessons that now have a waiting list and offering a four minute Youngblood makeover to every one of their clients."
William said it was incredibly tough to select LaBella out of over 1000 eligible salons throughout Australia, but the salon are keen to continue their success. They are certainly not resting on their laurels! The salon has a complete internal shop fit-out planned in 2013 that will incorporate a custom-designed Youngblood make up bar with the complete range to be used for one-to-one lessons, consultations, weddings and in-salon promotions.
