Training providers in the south will be able to get updates and information straight from their industry authority as Habia hits London with its Big Conversation.
Habia will be at the Ibis Styles Hotel, Excel, at Docklands, London on Tuesday 3 December 2013, with another of its informative and popular Big Conversations - sponsored by VTCT - which gives educators the opportunity to talk directly to their hair and beauty industry authority face-to-face.
Starting with registration and refreshments at 10:15 the morning session features an update from Habia, then a sit down lunch followed by an interactive round table session with the Habia team and partners. The day will close at 15:30 when each delegate will receive a selection of gifts and vouchers including a book from Cengage, Habias publishing partner.
Areas covered on the day include Apprenticeships, the impact of government policies, qualification reform, e-learning, policy, the Habia Skills Academy (HSA), and the development of a professional register for the beauty, nails and spa industries. There will also be information on Educator Training and CPD courses from the Habia and the HSA.
Richard Lambert, Habia Director of Marketing and Sales, said, "Traditional seminars and events are fine for some organisations, but they can be very stuffy and formal and only really scratch the surface of the matters people really want to talk about. Habia: The Big Conversation gives us the opportunity to come and visit learning providers in their own region to discuss the issues affecting them. There are national issues, but there are issues unique to each area that just wouldn't be picked up on at a conference".
Further dates and locations are planned for 2014 including 21 January in Manchester, 11 March in Bristol and 1 April in Scotland so if you cannot make the London event make sure you book your place on a Big Conversation in 2014.
Tickets for each event cost £35 plus VAT, with Habia Member Schools entitled to two free places.
