Hi you don't sew it on vertically you still sew it in rows using a blanket stitch.

Hum ok.. Most of what ive seen the braids where horizontal and it was sewed on them

There is different ways to plait a base. I sometimes plait in rows & sew the weft on to that. Sometimes the ends of the hair have to be sewn on to the plaits so not to have them loose & dangling this sometimes can create a bulky base so braiding the hair down like I did allows a flatter base & the ends of the hair can be neatly tucked away & sewn with less bulk.

Did you extend the length with these or just for volume? I personally would have cut the ends a little more. said with love (although I know how hard it is to convince som clients)
