Beginner just starting out

Hi There

I'm really new to this so i apologise if a thread similiar to this has already been started.

I am just starting up doing beauty from home. I am using gelish nail polish, artistic and some shellac. At the moment i have a UV lamp, but have been told that LED lamp's are better and more common with most nail polishes. I was just wondering what everyone's views are on LED and UV Lamps? Can you use most gel nail polishes with an LED lamp?

I see that CND have brought out a new LED Lamp with quite a hefty price tag. Can you only use CND Shellac with this lamp or could you use other polishes too?

Any advice would be appreciated and i thank anyone in advance who can give me some guidance.

Hi Claire The search facility will be your biggest friend; top right. There are lots of similar threads on all the questions you ask but straight away I'll tell you that you can only ensure the highest quality of the treatment you are doing with a gel polish if you use the system's lamp. I'm only l+p trained so have gel polish I use on myself with which I have to say I do use my INK London gel polishes with my CND LED lamp, but I wouldn't ever (once trained) do so with a client; I would buy the INK lamp.
