Hi, I have tried out my hot stone kit today after my course, I purchased a set of massage oils separately from Ellisons that said was for stone massage but when I tried to massage with it, the stones didn't glide very easy at all, it did feel too thick, felt quite awkward.
I had followed all the advice beforehand, washed the stones, heated up the heater with water only a couple of times, or do the stones take some 'bedding' in as such.
The oil I trained with was only a very cheap massage oil which tends to be a lot thinner so is this the best or any other ?- I thought I was doing the right thing buying the specific oil x

We're they mineral oils.vegetable oil carriers give a much nicer slip.Do a search and you will find there are many vegetable carrier oils that have different properties.

Grapeseed oil x

Ok thanks ill check their properties, just thought they would be suitable, I do have grapeseed anyway so can use that x
