Hello.

I'm interested in learning how to do bottom lashes. How do you get insurance for this? i know that some companies do them and some don't cos they say it's too risky with the eye open?

Thanks

best thing to do wold be to call your insurnce and ask, if you were to do a course, would they cover you for this, I know glam lash are now doing lower lash training hth x

hey thanks for your reply.

I assume that all training companies have to be insured themselves before they can provide training. I've just heard that its quite hard to get insurance for lower lashes and thought maybe some companies were supplying training and not insured themselves which is obviously very risky!!

But i will give mine a call and see.

cheers

I did an advanced course which covers me for doing bottom lashes amongst other things. I didn't actually apply any bottom lashes whilst on the course though and i was the model when it was covered on my course, so i didn't actually see them applied either
I did ask after as to how they were applied and had a quick talk through on it.
Rather worrying, but i'm still insured to do them cause they were 'covered' on my course

That is very worrying!! i'm a bit wary as it is what with the eye beng open and using glue and tweezers etc!
Do you feel confident to do them on somebody or would you prefer to have more training before you try?

i might leave it for now as i'm still fairly new to it all.

thanks :)

I trained in express lashes and the company i trained with use the 'open eye' technique to do them so i have had some training with this technique. I don't do them with the eyes open as i don't actually like this technique. It's very uncomfortable for the client and it's rather awkward for the technician as the client keeps blinking.
I haven't tried bottom lashes as i've not had anyone request them. I would give them a go but i would have to practise first as, like i said, i didn't get the chance to see them on my course. Makes you wonder what you pay your money for! I trained with a major company as well
