Hi Geeks,

I have just completed the AOFM Bridal Make up and Hair course which I absolutely loved and wanted your advice.

I put some pictures on Facebook of my Bridal Hair and have had a few people ask if I can do this for them for an event and I unsure how much to charge?

Is £20 too much for a beginner? Or should I do it cheap like £10 as I am just starting out?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated xxxx

Anyone? I need to get back to my lady asap xxxx

Hiya

Congratulations on completing your course. Did u go in everyday? Do u feel that it was thorough and that u have remembered everything? What was the exam like? Thinking about AOFM and London Muse?

Thanks for any help?

Hi Cocobeauty,

Thanks, yeah it was a 5 day course in London (3 days make up, 2 days hair) so you have to go in everyday to complete the course. It was really thorough but there was LOTS of information to take in so I am just practising and practising to make sure I remember everything. I think hairwise, once he taught us the basics its just a case of putting your own personal touch on things which I loved. There was no exam we just had to practice on each other and on mannequin heads and then we got a certificate at the end.

I am going to write a review on my blog on here so check it out.

Oh and thanks I think I am going to offer to do it for £15 as she is my first client xxxx

Hiya

Thank you for the info, appreciated. Surprised no exam. With regards to the hair, did u doing anything on each other over the two days? Sounds good though.

So u are getting work, how have u advertised?

Thank you.

Coco

Hi Coco,

Yes we practiced on each other and on mannequin heads and were assessed on our work. I have a couple of bookings and I only completed my course on Friday. I haven't advertised yet but I am meeting my friend on the weekend who is going to set me up with a website/business cards/price list etc.

Hope this helps xxx

I had a feeling it wouldn't work. I have created a page now so you can see them on there:

Log in | Facebook

If this doesn't work search "Rhiannon Teeluck Hair Design ~ Occasion & Bridal Make-Up" and if all else fails I will post them on here xxxxxx

not read replys but my view is never sell yourself cheap sure when you planning a wedding budgets are important but I would be dubious about someone so cheap. I would see what local salons and mobile are charging and set your price so you are competetively priced x

ps I believe doing wedding fairs is very lucrative x
