Last night marked a glamorous evening to celebrate exceptional achievement in the professional hairdressing business.
It was the British Hairdressing Business Awards, which launched back in 1999 by Hairdressers' Journal International, held this year at London's Lancaster Hotel to honour the crop of the nation's most prolific salon talent.
Dedication and commitment to excellence is something that has been shown by every finalist, commented Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of Hairdressers Journal International, Jayne Lewis-Orr (pictured in red). All of the finalists represent the best the hairdressing industry has to offer. The standard of entries confirms that hairdressing is an industry that is still doing well, despite the recession.
The evening kicked off with a special recognition award which went to Tommy van der Veken and Esther van der Veken-Prins for their success in the Salon of the Year 2 category. They were inducted into the event's "Hall of Fame", which is given to salons or individuals who have won their respective award three times.
