Hi all,

For those of you who are able to apply single, individual eyelash extensions to yourself, please can you tell me how you are doing it?

I've searched YouTube and all I see are the clusters, not the single, SP lashes we use on clients.

Any advice on how you do it will be so, so, so appreciated as I'm desperate to do my own!

Thanks xx

I can't do a full set of extensions on myself but I have managed to do a set of express lashes. They wasn't perfect but they were ok and you only use one set of tweezers with express lashes so less chance of poking your eye out by trying to use your non dominant hand backwards in a mirror lol xxx

It's a very bad idea to try and put single lash extension on yourself, you won't be able to section and apply the lash correctly, trying to do this is dangerous and defiantly not advised. That's why you can't find any videos or tutorials x

Best bet is to find someone to do a trade swap with :) x

Wouldn't try it. The minute you opened your eyes the glue or the fumes would make it hurt and water for sure x

With flirties express lashes you use the sensitive glue and do it with the clients eyes open. Its not fumey at all so doesn't make the eyes water. There have been other threads on this subject were geeks have said they do a full set (not express lashes) on themselves so try a search. But personally i wouldn't even attempt it as I'd have my eye out with my left hand xxx

Yes vanityloves is right! I tried doing myself a set once i had trained and nearly blinded myself with the fumes! And they all fell off because i didn't put them on at the right angle or fully. I can put a couple on in between fills but not without the help of my air blower, trust me its not worth it! Find a lash technician to swap with. Its really hard to angle the extension to the lash properly and will take you hours

Thanks all, I'm looking for someone to swap or just pay to do mine :) I'm out in Qatar and there are few people who do a good job - eek! X

i dont know anyone who can apply SP on their own lashes.. only express.

I've done it a couple of times. It can be done using a slower setting sensitive adhesive. You have to do it with your eyes open using a magnified mirror and extreme care and attention. It takes a very long time to do so its much easier getting a swap if you can. These are ones i've done on myself but as I've said, a swap would be much easier :D

Oh, I forgot to ask, when you singled out a lash are you applying the synthetic to the bottom of the natural hair or the top? (Or side?) x

I use LeCil DIY lash sets and they are so easy! If you can apply mascara you can apply these.
