With the industry coming under more and more scrutiny from consumers wanting to know who's the best of the best, PHAB Standard have launched its consumer directory. The directory, supported by some of the biggest in the industry, is intended to allow prospective clients to recognise British hair and beauty pros that offer excellence in service and care.
PHAB Standard was founded by Nergish Wadia-Austin, an industry veteran with 35 years experience in beauty and hair management. It is the first and only performance-based industry standard regulator.
In honour of the launch, PHAB awarded Honorary Standards to Adam Reed and Paul Percival of Percy & Reed, Andrew Barton, James Pryce and Jamie Stevens. Beauty expert Carrie Kerrigan of The Spa at The Dorchester also collected her PHAB Standard, as did The Spa.
It's a tough standard to get too. Professionals have to prove their performance is consistently above the industry average - it's not enough to be 'good enough'. The proof is established through written testimonials, a high number of repeat customers and a strong rapport with their top three suppliers and managers all of which act as evidence for exceptional customer service.
PHAB finally allows the consumer to make an informed choice when selecting their hair & beauty professionals, simply put a Michelin star for beauty.

Until then...geek on!
