Hi,

I slammed my thumb in a car door about a month ago, and the bottom half of my nail went black. Since then, a part of the black part of the nail has torn away, right down to the nail bed, so there is a bump in my nail, like a gap.

Since I work in a restaurant, I'm wanting to get my acrylic nails put on as it's a bit off putting looking at my nail!!
Can I still get them done like this or do you think a nail salon would refuse to do it since it is damaged?

(See pic.... I know it looks gross! The pink bit in the middle is my nail bed)

Thanks x

If you came to me I'd refuse. Once new nail grows through from under the cuticle and the damage is clearly moving down and new perfect nail is showing I'd consider a super short overlay but no extra length. Lots of solar oil for the next few weeks and it will grow through quickly

I would refuse too I'm afraid [emoji20]

Definitely not.

Sorry my sweet, I'm in agreement. I couldn't touch that in its current condition. X

No way. You need to heal.
