Can I use CND lamp with Orly Gel fx or do I need LED?

Hi, I have started voluntary work in a salon and they use orly fx gel and have the whole correct orly kit and lamp. They are going to teach me how to do it and I will then want to buy a kit to offer them mobile but im confused over lamps, they use the orly led lamp but I would like to keep my options open and maybe do shellac also or at a later date but I can only afford one lamp. So can I use the cnd lamp to cue the orly gel fx? I heard I can't use the led orly lamp with cnd shellac? Is this right?

You can't use any led lamp with CND Shellac (for now ) so if you would like to do Shellac at a later date then you will have to purchase the CND UV Lamp. You can definitely use the same lamp to sure the orly gel fx with no problems, i have done so. Just read the labels and you will be fine.

To be honest the LED lamps are great, i have one for gelish, but they don't necessarily speed up time of you service. in my experience, the most you can save is 5min and to me that isn't worth the huge investment of a led lamp. I got mine as a gift otherwise i would have never purchased one
