Hi
Some if you will know me from Nails :)

I'm thinking of doing a lash course as I've had one or two people ask and also I'm feeling the itch to learn, iykwim

I'm wondering if it's possible to do the lash extensions on yourself? I have a very decent size client base for nails and if I was sitting opposite them wearing lashes I'd done myself, just thinking it would probably drum up quite a bit of business with minimum effort, to start me off.

Do any of you do your own?

Hi
I am trained in lashes, but it's practically impossible to do your own.
You'd need to isolate each lash which takes two pairs of tweezers (using your two hands), then when you'd need to look away to pick up a lash and adhesive from your tray your eye would move and the isolated lash would be lost
Also most adhesives make your open eyes really water Not recommended. [emoji85][emoji24]
Party lashes are manageable though - with a lot of patience.

Some treatments you just can't do on yourself and that is one of them. It would be very dangerous to even attempt it.

There is nothing wrong with having some treatments done by other therapists in order to promote them to clients on the basis of how the treatment looks.

Ok. No that sounds impossible on yourself lol. I was just thinking I could show off my skills in a similar way to doing my own nails but it's very different really.

Thank you for your replies. Yes laurakate that's a good idea thanks :)

I know of some lash techs who can do it - and they actually looked really good. I have (started) to attempt it a few times... and couldn't even see how anyone could... So, I would say, don't expect to be able to do it, especially starting out, but with practice and built up skill, you might be one of the few bad-***** that can. I do think you are absolutely right, having them will get your clients excited about them, but it will still work if you get yours done by someone else. Just tell them that you offer them, when they complement yours.
